Model WSDH Surface Safety Valve 

Wellhead Inc Surface Safety Valves offer the customer unparalleled features that make installation and maintenance easier and less time consuming.  This Surface Safety Valve product line, along with our control systems, allows Wellhead Inc to offer the customer a single source for wellhead equipment, valves, trees safety valves, control systems and service.

·         Actuator , Bonnet and Reverse Acting Gate Valve are certified and licensed to API 6A (6A-0094) and ISO 9001 (96-257) requirements and comply with NACE MR0175 requirements to assure successful operation during harsh conditions such as high temperatures and flow rates.

·         Actuator top indicating shaft, the Actuator Piston and the Gate Stem are independent from each other assuring individually centered travel of the Piston and Shafts through seals and eliminating any possible torque transfer when using Manual Hold Open Devices and enhancing seal life.

·         Unique V-band clamp connection allows the Actuator Upper Head to rotate 360° for easy alignment of hydraulic control line.

·         Top placement of the Actuator Piston reduces swept volumes allowing for smaller hydraulic fluid reservoir tanks in control panels and faster response.

·         Top access of the Actuator Piston for seal replacement and maintenance is provided by the V-band clamp attachment of the Upper Head, eliminating actuator disassembly and the need for special tools.  Seal replacement (and well down time) is reduced from hours to minutes.

·          Actuator Spring load compression is accomplished with hand tool without the need for separate compression devices for a safer and more convenient procedure.

·         Permanent  gate/seat drift alignment is assured by stainless steel spacers during initial installation and is unaffected by actuator maintenance or conversion from Hydraulic to Pneumatic or vice versa.

·         Actuator to Bonnet interface allows conversion from Hydraulic to Pneumatic or vice versa without violation of the Bonnet to Gate Valve seal or stem seal.

·         Upper Head is provided with industry standard thread for the mounting accessories such as Manual, Hydraulic or Fusible Hold Open Devices, etc.

·         Actuator will accept either top mounted or side mounted Position Indicating Switches.

·         Bonnet is equipped with a stainless steel packing retainer for easy removal and replacement of stem seals and wear rings.  Stem seals are industry proven PolyPak for reliability and proven resistance to pressure and temperature degradation.

·         Radial seal between Bonnet and Stem in lieu of Tapered seal assures more reliable “Fire-Safe” seal in the closed position.

Model WSDH

Wellhead Inc Reverse Acting Gate Valves are available in sizes 2-1/16” through 7-1/16” and 2000 through 5000 PSI Working Pressures, and sizes 1-13/16” through 4-1/16” and 10,000 and 15,000 PSI Working Pressures.  API Material Classes AA, BB, CC, DD, EE, FF and HH are available. Wellhead Inc is authorized to provide equipment meeting quality levels of PSL 1, 2 , 3 & 4.  Performance ratings of PR-2 to Appendix F of API 6A are available.

A variety of Surface Safety Valve Control Systems are available to complement the SSV meeting end user Wellhead Shut Down specifications for virtually every shut down requirement.  The Wellhead Inc SSV can be used in Pipeline, Christmas Tree Wing and/or Master Valve, and downstream line break applications.  Control Systems may be either Line Pressure operated, Hydraulic Self-Contained, or Pneumatically driven or Manual Hand Pump driven.  Control Systems can be provided for either Single Well Onshore or Multi-Well Offshore installations.  Solar Power is available as an alternate power supply.

 

Wellhead Inc also offers Inconel cladding for extremely corrosive environments such as water injection trees and is a licensee of the PROCLAD process assuring the highest quality in CRA overlays.

 

Wellhead Inc provides the customer with wellhead, Christmas tree, actuator, choke and control system requirements whether for onshore single well or offshore multi-well platforms.  Wellhead Inc’s  manufacturing scope of supply includes  casing heads, tubing heads, manual gate valves, automated gate valves (hydraulic & pneumatic), chokes (manual & automated), and control systems (electric-hydraulic-pneumatic) as per API 6A (# 6A 0094) and ISO 9001 (# 96-257) requirements. Wellhead Inc insures total compatibility in Wellheads, Christmas Trees,  and Wellhead Shut Down Systems, and provides installation, commissioning, and maintenance services worldwide.
