WHI has developed a series of tubing head adapters that provide the operator with unparalleled variety in completion technology. These adapters provide for transition from any wellhead configuration to the ideal christmas tree for economical fluid production or injection. Adapters are available in materials and trim to meet any wellbore environment.

W2TS-EN Tubing Head Adapter

W2TS-EN tubing head adapters are designed for use with type W2-3 or WWC extended neck tubing hangers. When used together they create an annulus seal between the hanger and the tubing bore for protection from corrosion and leakage to the atmosphere.

The adapters are available with lower flanges of nominal size 7 1/16" through 11", upper flanges from 2 1/16" through 5 1/8" and pressure ratings to 10,000 psi. Certain flange sizes require that the lower connection be studded instead of through bolted.

W2TS Tubing Head Adapter

W2TS tubing head adapters can be used alone to suspend the tubing string, to suspend the tubing string along with a wraparound tubing hanger for additional annulus sealing, or with the tubing suspended from a threaded tubing hanger in the tubing spool bowl below.

The adapters are available with lower flanges of nominal sizes 7 1/16" through 11", upper flanges from 2 1/16" through 5 1/8" and pressure ratings to 5000 psi. Threaded connections are API upset tubing of size compatible with the upper nominal flange. Certain flange sizes require that the lower connection be studded instead of through bolted.

W2-2 tubing head adapters are used when well completions require a threaded christmas tree or direct transition to pumping equipment. As with the W2TS adapter, an upset tubing thread is provided for suspension of wellbore tubulars when required.

The adapters are available with flanges of nominal size 7 1/16" through 11", threaded connections from 2 3/8" to 3 1/2" upset tubing and pressure rating to 5,000 psi.

W2-7 tubing head adapters are designed for economical transition from a flanged wellhead directly to pumping equipment. The tubing string passes through the adapter, suspended from slips and contains an annulus seal for well control.

The WWC-2P tubing head adapter and the WWC-3P or W2-3P tubing hangers are used in conjunction to provide reliability and versatility in critical service or high pressure applications. Two integral P seals are incorporated into the adapter to provide annulus sealing and confine produced fluids to the wellbore. WWC-2P adapters are available from 7 1/16" to 11" nominal flanges sizes and pressure ratings to 15,000 psi.

The W2P tubing head adapter assembly is used in conjunction with our wraparound tubing hanger to provide the greatest reliability in high pressure or critical service well completions. Wraparound hangers isolate annulus pressure with their mechanical energizes seal while the tubing string is lower through the BOP. A christmas tree can then be attached directly to the tubing and landed onto the tubing spool.
