Expanding Gate The expanding gate valve design uses a two piece wedged shape gate assembly to generate positive sealing. When moved to the opened or closed positions, gate segments expand out to the seats creating a mechanical energized seal for reliable performance. Valves are full bore through-conduit which do not restrict flow. A non-rising stem is used for better control and dependability. Valves are available in pressure ratings from 2,000 to 5,000 psi. Standard bore sizes are from 2 1/16" to 4 1/16". A variety of trim designations and valve styles are described on the next page. |

Slab Gate The slab gate valve design uses a solid gate with two floating seats to generate a bidirectional, highly reliable seal. A slab gate eliminates the possibility of trapping pressure within the body cavity which can result in pressure locking. Valves are full bore through-conduit which do not restrict flow. A non-rising stem is used for better control and dependability. Valves are available in pressure ratings from 2,000 to 20,000 psi. Standard bore sizes are from 2 1/16" to 7 1/16". A variety of trim designations and valve styles are described on the next page. |
