President's 'E' Award for Exports

Duhn Oil Tool, Inc. (Wellhead Inc) is proud to announce that it has received the President’s ‘E’ Award for Exports in recognition of the company’s achievements in exporting U.S. products.  The ‘E’ Award is granted by the President of the United States and is the highest level of recognition that can be awarded by the President to private industries.  The ‘E’ Award was presented to Mr. Rex Duhn on May 30, 2002 by Congressman Bill Thomas.  This presentation was conducted at Wellhead Inc’s manufacturing facility located in Bakersfield, California.  The company was proud to be able to share the presentation with its employees, vendors, and local customers.

Wellhead Inc was officially notified of its selection to receive the President’s 'E' Award for Exports by Secretary of Commerce, Donald L. Evans, Washington D.C.  Secretary Evans wrote in a letter to Mr. Rex Duhn, CEO/President, “Duhn Oil Tool has made consistent gains in the international market for wellhead equipment and other related components.  Your gains in export sales have been impressive, increasing three-fold in just five years.  For the past 10 years, (Wellhead Inc) has overcome major challenges in the global marketplace and serves as an example of how U.S. companies can successfully compete internationally.  With such achievements, Duhn Oil Tool has made a valuable contribution to national export expansion efforts that support the U.S. economy”.

This exceptional achievement would not be possible without the cooperation and support of all Wellhead Inc employees, vendors, and customers.  “Great strides have been made and obstacles overcome to get to the position we are in today”, said Rex.  “As an example of our accomplishments, since our entrance into the international marketplace, Wellhead Inc has more recently designed and marketed the Quicklock Wellhead System™ (The Original QDF™)”.   Additionally, at the beginning of this year, Wellhead Inc was proud to announce that it was the first wellhead equipment manufacturer in the global market to upgrade our ISO 9001 license to the new 2000 version (licensed by API and QCB).  In the future we look forward to obtaining our API Spec 11IW Independent Wellhead license, identifying markets for our new actuator and surface safety valve product lines, continually supporting our quality management system, and aggressively promoting company wide safety awareness.  Our future success will continue to be dependent upon the support and cooperation of all Wellhead Inc employees, vendors, and customers.
