Mechanical Engineer

Wellhead Inc is a recognized leader in the manufacturing of wellheads and associated equipment located in Bakersfield, California.  We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer at our facility.

In this role you will analyze, modify and design multiple projects (some complex) requiring independent application of advance engineering techniques. You will work with design teams on current and future wellhead equipment to evaluate structural integrity and durability. Responsibilities will include development of standard analytical analysis procedures to support designers and ability to conduct preliminary FE simulations.

 
Requirements include a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience.  You should have a minimum of 3 years experience in the area of structural analysis.  You should have an understanding of fatigue analysis and demonstrate applications of the principles in the design process. Examples of experiences must show not only model creation but also post analysis critique and design recommendations. Experience with Solid Works and AutoCAD CAD software, and engineering database programs is desired.
