DBA: Wellhead Inc is a progressive manufacturing company having served the oil industry, through the design and manufacture of quality completion products, for over 50 years.  The Company’s product lines include API 6A Wellhead & X-mas Tree Equipment, API 16A Drill Through Equipment, API 11IW Independent Wellhead Equipment, Quick Lock Wellhead System™ (QDF®), Tubing Rotators, Coil Tubing Heads, and Packers.  Wellhead Inc’s manufacturing facility is located in Bakersfield, California.  All our product lines are manufactured at this location and distributed worldwide through our own Sales and Service Branches, Agent locations, and Stocking Distributors.  Teamwork, communication and dedication are what you will find today at Wellhead Inc. Established in 1947 by Mr. Ervin Duhn, Duhn Oil Tool, Inc. began as a small general machine shop in Avenal, California, and was originally called C & D Valve and Machine Works.  The company operated as a repair shop for twenty years before it moved to Bakersfield, California in 1967.  At that time the name was changed to Bakersfield Oil Tool Shop.  Shortly thereafter, Ervin son, Rex, joined the company.  Bakersfield Oil Tool Shop continued primarily as a repair shop until the early 1970's when it began to subcontract work with major oilfield service companies.  In 1975 Bakersfield Oil Tool Shop began to manufacture its own line of wellhead equipment.  As a marketing arm, Wellhead Inc was formed to promote and sell the Company’s wellhead equipment throughout the United States.  In 1992 the Company entered into the international marketing arena, and solidified its local (domestic) market.  Rex’s daughters, Alina and Kelli, joined the company at this time.  The name Wellhead Inc quickly outgrew that of Bakersfield Oil Tool Shop; as a result, in 1995 the business name Bakersfield Oil Tool Shop was dropped. Today the company does business as Wellhead Inc, A Duhn Oil Tool, Inc. Company.

In 1996 Wellhead Inc developed a revolutionary wellhead system known as the Quicklock Wellhead System™, The Original QDF®.  This system allows on-shore drillers to reduce rig time ultimately bringing production on-line days early resulting in increased profits and a quicker return on investment.  Not only does this wellhead system offer increased profits in production it is a less expensive wellhead system, it is safer for rig personnel to operate, and it is a quicker system to install.
